Well hello there...
...and welcome to the home of The Music Theatre Society, known to all at Leeds University Union as 'MT'!
Running for over 10 years now (the exact birth date of our society being lost forever within the archives of the Riley Smith...) the society has found itself all grown up, and ready for a new chapter in the script that narrates the story of our thespian group.
AND SO...the 2009/10 season provides an opportunity to push the boundaries a little further and pack all that is possible into this year's calendar, squeezing as much entertainment out of our society as we can.
Queue the comedy and tragedy, the glitz and glamour, the hard work, the quirky story lines, the fiendish harmonies and the satisfaction of a job well done that weave together to showcase for you the MT ethos and the MT way. We aim to produce shows of high quality and interesting stories, which employ the talents of a small and intimate cast, always setting ourselves a challenge to stick our teeth into, and oh-so-easily forget our Science, English, Law, Maths and of course, Theatre and Performance degrees...who said students come to uni to actually study, hey?!
This site aims to give you a little taster of what being part of MT is all about, and to provide you with all the information you need to get involved, become a member, come see a show, audition for a production and begin to feel a part of one of the unique performance societies that Leeds has to offer...enjoy.
